Brother printer mfc 240c troubleshooting
I hope someone can help me with this. I bought a Brother MFC-240C inkjet printer opened the box and followed the setup instructions to the letter. I get to where it cleans the ink tube system, the cleaning cycle finishs and it prints a quality check page. All the 4 color blocks look perfect on the printout so the LCD asks is quality ok I hit yes then I get the error message init. unable AF on the LCD. It says to check troubleshooting in manual I do and all it says is the machine has a mechanical problem or theres a foreign object in the machine such as a clip. I open scanner cover and see nothing wrong. I also turned off waited 5 minutes then repowered. When I do I get this grinding sound for about 10 seconds then the same error message. Any help anyone can give me I would be grateful. Sorry for the long winded explanation but I wanted to explain as best I could the problem
